Gifts That Give Back
Ok, so I’m definitely a giver. I feel most gratified when I’m serving, volunteering, or giving back! I am always super excited for Christmas, not for the gifts I’ll get, but for the gifts I get to give. All year long I keep an ongoing list in my phone of things I hear family and friends wish for or want, and then Christmas day, when I give those gifts, they may have talked about back in July or August, I have the feeling of pure satisfaction!
I want to share with you some gift ideas, companies and organizations that represent something more, they give back either financially, by raising awareness, or providing employment. These are things I love to purchase for myself and to give as gifts. I will leave links at the end!
Branded Collective
Talk about cute versatile jewelry! I wear one of these cuffs pretty much daily. In fact I have two on right now. Mixing metals is all the craze! This company is local to Nashville but brings awareness to an issue that is global. There are approximately 20 to 30 million victims of Human Trafficking in the world today.
Branded Collective employs survivors of human trafficking. With the hope they will be inspired to rediscover the dreams they have lost and be motivated to go forth and pursue them. Each BRANDED item is stamped with a unique number. The initial is the survivor who made the cuff and you can read her story on their website.
The Giving Keys
These are my go to gifts for friends and family to motivate, awaken or bring hope. Who knew there could be so much power in a single word! The Giving Keys want to inspire the world to pay it forward. This company does not raise donations but instead creates jobs for people transitioning out of homelessness. Love!!
CAUSEBOX
This little box packs a big punch! Filled with socially conscious products for woman. It is a seasonal box and you never know what you’re going to get! In past boxes they have had items like The Giving Keys, Branded Collection, and many other handmade products with beautiful stories behind those items of how they were made and who they empower!
Project 615
I’m all about supporting local businesses to start with, but ones that support a bigger cause….yes please!! This is the go to place for Nashville and southern inspired shirts, one of my favorites is the “ Love your Neighbor” shirt. Because I'm obsessed with all humans!
One of their main objectives is to help restore those who are on the path of recovery from homelessness, addiction and mental illness. There are so many issues and concerns in this world that break my heart and having philanthropic companies that support different important causes is everything!
These last two picture pretty much sum it up! Thanks y'all for reading and now gone on and love your neighbor! What are some of your favorite companies that give back?
